Converted office block: Installing a multi-zone AOV system

When our property development client needed an Automatic Opening Vents (AOV) system in an office block they had recently converted into apartments, and we knew just how to help them with the installation of an intelligent vent system.

After surveying the site and planning the best approach, we installed a multi-zone AOV system controlled by a central panel connected to various inputs from smoke detectors and fire service override switches. This system has been set up with complex cause-and-effect rules, which means that when one part of the building detects smoke, only the corresponding vent in that area opens to provide fresh air and expel smoke, keeping residents safe whilst minimising the spread of fire.

Each floor is serviced by two smoke shafts and two head-of-stairwell roof vents. Whether you know exactly what you need or want advice on the best system to meet your requirements, we are always happy to discuss the options we can provide.

For an AOV installation quotation, please get in touch with us - we’d love to help.
